Welcome to Summer Session!

We are excited to open up Kitchener for Summer Session! A welcome letter was sent via email on June 28. Click here or on the image to the right to read.

Wednesday, July 3 will be our first day of school where we welcome back returning and new families!

Nut Free Zone

To ensure the safety and well-being of all students and staff, we are a nut free environment. This means that no nuts or nut-containing products should be packed for snack or lunch. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our community safe for everyone, especially those with allergies.

School Supplies

Please have your child bring the following:

  • book to read
  • water bottle, snacks, and lunch if they are attending for the full day
  • pen, pencil, pencil crayons or crayons, felts
  • scissors, glue stick, ruler

Course Changes or Waitlist

If you would like to put your child on a waitlist for a class or request for a course change, please come to the school on Wed. July 3 to scan our QR code to request changes on a first come, first served basis. No movement of classes will happen on Wed. July 3. Families will be contacted as soon as possible.

Parking

While it may be more convenient for you, the staff parking lot on Gilmore Avenue is reserved and needed for staff members. Please refrain from using this lot to park or use as a pick up or drop off area. We recommend you arrive earlier to find a parking spot on the street and walk in. We appreciate your cooperation, thank you.

Absence/Lateness

If your child is sick or you know your child will be absent, please inform the school of their absence. Our office lines at all schools are open at 8:00 am. 

Theme Days

  • Thursday, July 4 – Kitchener colours (Wear red & black)
  • Thursday, July 11 – Wear FUN socks!
  • Thursday, July 18 – Wear a jersey or sports shirt

District Code of Conduct  

The District Code of Conduct (on page 2) has been established to ensure that our schools remain safe and caring learning environments for both students and staff alike. Kindly familiarize yourself with the Code and review it with your child.  

Please note that there are some recently made changes to the Code of Conduct regarding cell phone policy that can be accessed here.
