Kind Mind Month at Kitchener!

Next month is Kind Mind Month at Kitchener! The program starts on February 9th. With support from the Kelty Foundation, all students from Kindergarten to Grade 7 will take part.
Kind Mind is a four-week mental health program that helps kids build confidence, understand their feelings, and learn how to handle challenges. The program uses fun videos, activities, and workbooks. Each week, students complete lessons at school and simple activities at home with their families.
At the end of the four weeks, students earn a special celebration called Confi-DANCE. This is a fun, high-energy event where students dance, connect, and celebrate what they’ve learned. The event is led by DJ Rock’N’Beau and focuses on belonging and connection.
Confi-DANCE Celebration – March 11, 2026
• 6:30–7:30 PM: Primary (K–3)
• 7:30–8:30 PM: Intermediate (4–7)
Kind Mind supports student mental health by giving children and families simple tools to talk about feelings and build emotional strength early on. Throughout February, students will take part in weekly activities at school that encourage conversations and learning at home. Students will also bring home Kind Mind materials and information about local mental health supports.
A parent workshop will be offered later—more details coming soon.
